Mina Group makes chef changes

David Varley named corporate chef

The Mina Group of San Francisco has named David Varley corporate chef, replacing Anthony Carron.

Varley previously worked as executive chef at the restaurant group's Bourbon Steak in Washington, D.C., where he'll be replaced by Adam Sobel.

Sobel most recently was in Las Vegas, where he was executive chef of Rick Moonen’s RM Seafood at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Previously, he worked under Varley at restaurant Bradley Ogden at Caesars Palace.

Former corporate chef Carron recently moved to Los Angeles to work on a project of his own, according to a Mina Group spokeswoman.

The Mina Group operates 18 restaurants in six states and Washington, D.C., including five Bourbon Steaks and two Michael Mina restaurants in San Francisco and Las Vegas.
