Friday's names Sanders franchising president

DALLAS T.G.I. Friday’s USA has named former Johnny Rockets chief Lee Sanders to the new post of president of franchising.

Sanders, who left his position as president and chief executive of Johnny Rockets Group Inc. earlier this month, will be responsible for franchise operations and sales in the domestic Friday’s system. The chain has about 600 U.S. locations.

Nick Shepherd, president and chief executive of Friday’s parent Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, said Sanders “is a proven leader and brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to this new role.”

Prior to Johnny Rockets, Sanders had been senior vice president of development and franchising for Buffalo Wild Wings and national director of franchising for Dunkin' Brands Inc. He also has served in various leadership positions at General Mills Inc.

Friday's is a division of Carlson Restaurants Worldwide.
