Outback Steakhouse parent Bloomin’ Brands says no layoffs helped brand sales bounce back

Casual-dining company sees a new strength in off-premise sales since coronavirus restrictions

Bloomin’ Brands Inc., parent to Outback Steakhouse and other full-service concepts, has reopened dining rooms in about 90% of its restaurants since the coronavirus lockdown orders, and sales — which were dependent on off-premise orders — are beginning to bounce back, executives said Friday.
