Executive changes at Hacienda Mexican Restaurants

Hacienda Mexican Restaurants said Thursday it promoted two executives to leadership roles.

Tammy Boetsma has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer, and Vicki Farmwald is the company’s new executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Hacienda president and chief executive Dean Goodwin said both individuals were promoted from within, but the company did not disclose who they replaced. The 32-year-old company operates 12 Hacienda Mexican Restaurants, all in Indiana, and six La Señorita Mexican Restaurants in Michigan, which it purchased in last year.

Both casual-dining chains specialize in Mexican food.

“Combining the continued growth of Hacienda along with the recent acquisition of the Michigan based La Senorita Mexican Restaurant group has led us to making some leadership changes that will help position us for the future,” Goodwin said.

Boetsma joined the company in 2000 as vice president of finance, and Farmwald started working her way up the company’s ranks in 1981, when she was hired as a restaurant manager.
