Bob Evans Farms Inc. said its chief financial officer, Tod Spornhauer, will step down in January after 19 years with the company.
Richard Green, Bob Evans' chief risk and compliance officer, will fill in as interim CFO until a permanent replacement is found, the company said Tuesday.
Spornhauer has served as CFO at the restaurant operator and sausage manufacturer since September 2009 and has been with the company since 1991. Bob Evans said he is leaving to pursue a teaching career and spend more time with his family.
Interim CFO Green joined Bob Evans in February after having spent three years at Embarq Corporation, now CenturyTel, the last two years as chief accounting officer. He also spent 15 years in various finance roles at Sprint Corp., and 12 years as a certified public accountant for Deloitte and Touche.
Columbus, Ohio-based Bob Evans Farms operates 569 Bob Evans family-dining restaurants and 145 Mimi's Cafe casual-dining restaurants. It also is a manufacturer and distributor of pork sausages.
