Bartaco promotes Anthony Valletta to president

Former Del Frisco’s executive to take on the role immediately

Bartaco named Anthony Valletta president, the brand announced on Wednesday. The promotion from senior vice president of operations to president is effective immediately.

“We are thrilled to have Anthony step into the role of president at Bartaco. He is a proven leader who has demonstrated his ability to enact positive change and shares our ideals of constant improvement and putting our guests first at all times,” said Scott Lawton, CEO and co-founder of Bartaco, in a statement. “Bartaco’s future is bright, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with Anthony as he spearheads the development of all of our team members, while shaping the future leaders within the brand.”

Valletta joined Bartaco last fall. Prior to joining the casual-dining restaurant chain, he was chief operating officer at the Mina Group and Birdcall in Denver as well as the director of operations at Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group.

“I'm grateful for the opportunity to lead Bartaco in an expanded capacity and partner with our distinguished and innovative executive team,” said Valletta in a statement. “For years I have admired Bartaco’s unrelenting drive and ability to provide guests an experience like no other. I look forward to working with our local teams to find enhanced ways to immerse ourselves in our surrounding communities, further supporting those who support us and building on our successes to ultimately become the new gold standard for the employee experience.”

Bartaco is based in Arlington, Va and has 22 units.
