ATLANTA Planet Smoothie said it plans to conduct “99 Cents Smoothie Days” at locations nationwide this summer as part of a campaign highlighting the dietary benefits of the blended drinks.
The promotion will launch May 7 with a focus on weight loss and feature the Leapin’ Lizard, one of Planet Smoothie’s most popular weight-loss smoothies. It contains 209 calories, less than 1 gram of fat and 3 grams of dietary fiber.
Spazz, which contains a booster blast, will be featured in June. Chocolate Chimp, fortified with a protein blast, will follow in July. Twig & Berries, containing strawberries, bananas and yogurt, will be featured in August.
Screamsicle, made with an antioxidant blast, will conclude the promotion in September.
Planet Smoothie, a division of Atlanta-based Raving Brands Inc., has more than 120 units nationwide.
