DALLAS Pizza Patrón, the 82-unit pizza brand aimed at the Latino market, has signed an agreement with Latitude Partners Florida LLC to develop a dozen units in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale areas.
Daniel Feldsberg, a spokesman for Latitude Partners, said the first South Florida unit would be open by December.
“Given that Southeast Florida is the third-largest Latin-American market in the United States,” he said, “we see a great potential for the development and growth of the Pizza Patrón brand in the area.
Latitude investors include Feldsberg, Diego Franco and Michael Dickman.
Pizza Patrón officials noted that it would be the chain's first attempt at reaching out to a non-Mexican Hispanic population.
“Until now, most of our core Hispanic customers had roots in Mexico, but in Miami, the Latino-Hispano demographic is primarily of Caribbean, Central and South American descent,” said Andrew Gamm, director of brand development for Pizza Patrón.
Pizza Patrón is based in Dallas and has locations in six states, including Texas, California, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and Florida.
