O’Reilly named chief concept officer of Einstein Noah

LAKEWOOD Colo. Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, owner and franchisor of the Einstein Bros. Bagels, Noah's New York Bagels and Manhattan Bagel brands, Monday named James P. O’Reilly chief concept officer, effective immediately.

O’Reilly, a former marketing executive with Yum! Brands Inc., will report directly to Jeff O’Neill, Einstein Noah’s chief executive and president. O’Reilly will be responsible for store branding and concept development, including advertising, merchandising, promotion and innovation. In addition, he will assume responsibility for the bagel company’s information technology department, as well as restaurant development and real estate.

Prior to joining Einstein Noah, O’Reilly spent 12 years with Yum! Brands, most recently as senior vice president of U.S. marketing. Before that, he was chief marketing officer for KFC in the United States. He received Yum’s Global Chairman’s award in 2005 and was also voted Marketer of the Year (as Marketer for the Next Generation) by Brand Week Magazine.

Based in Lakewood, Einstein Noah operates or franchises more than 600 restaurants, including more than 100 licensed locations, in 36 states and the District of Columbia.
