The Cucumber, Apple and Elderflower Tall served at New York’s Double Crown is made with Zubrowka Bison Grass vodka, juiced organic apples, cucumber and St. Germain elderflower liqueur. The drink is garnished with a slice of cucumber that, if saved for last, absorbs the flavors of the drink.
The Double Crown’s theme draws from the British Empire and Southeast Asia, so the drink menu also includes a section for classic British colonial drinks, such as the Pimm’s Cup and the Singapore Sling. Southeast Asian flavors come into play in other cocktails, like the Kumquat, Red Chili and Elderflower Smash, which is topped with a sweet and spicy foam made of Saint Germain and Thai chile pepper.
The Double Crown also has a separate gin bar and lounge next door called Madam Geneva that is accessible through a secret passage in the back of the restaurant.
