The latest chefs on the move

A look at recent job changes from chefs across the country:

Craig Berkower is the new chef of Garden Grove restaurant at the Walt Disney World Swan hotel in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. He is also in charge of room service at the hotel.

Previously, Berkower was executive sous chef at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla. Past experience in his 30-year career includes stints at Chef Allen’s in Aventura, Fla., Strings in Denver, and the Flagstaff House in Boulder, Colo.

David Ford is the new chef at the Violet Hour in Chicago, the Blackbird restaurant group’s cocktail lounge.

Ford started his cooking career at Avec, another Blackbird restaurant, in 2004 and then moved on to work in the kitchen at Blackbird. Most recently, he spent two and a half years as sous chef at C-House, also in Chicago.

Chef Deke Reichardt, most recently the executive chef of Oak Hill Country Club in Omaha, Neb., has opened Jackson Street Tavern in that city with business partner Roger Brodersen.

Todd Williams, former chef de cuisine for Bradley Ogden restaurant at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, has been named assistant executive chef for that entire hotel, with responsibility for overseeing all the menus on the property.
