EMERYVILLE Calif. Jamba Juice launched its breakfast menu nationwide this month after successful tests in the Los Angeles and New York markets, said parent company Jamba Inc.
Among the new breakfast items are granola-topped smoothies, a "chunky" smoothie and baked goods.
The Granola Topper is made with blended fruit, low-fat yogurt and soymilk topped with organic granola, and comes in Mango Peach Topper and Berry Topper options.
The Chunky Smoothie is a combination of fresh bananas, strawberries, organic granola and peanut butter is blended with soymilk and nonfat yogurt.
Other new breakfast beverages include Yogurt & Fruit Blends, which are made with berries, nonfat plain yogurt and soymilk in the flavors of Sunrise Strawberry and Bright Eyed & Blueberry, and Juicies, which consists of juice and juice blends blended with ice.
In addition Jamba’s breakfast menu offers baked goods such as Reduced-Fat Blueberry Loaf, Reduced-Fat Cranberry-Orange Loaf, Zucchini-Walnut Loaf, Blueberry Oatcake and Omega-3 Cookies.
Jamba, based here, operates or franchises more than 700 smoothie shops.
