EMERYVILLE Calif. Jamba Juice will offer its hot oatmeal for $1 through Friday as part of the smoothie chain’s ongoing “Feel Good Campaign.”
The temporary $1 price is less than half the typical recommended price of $2.95. Made from steel-cut oats, the popular menu item is served with brown sugar crumble and a choice of four toppings, including new Berry Cherry Pecan.
To receive the discount, customers must download and print a coupon from the website www.oatmealforabuck.com and bring it to a participating location. The deal is available from Dec. 7-11.
Jamba Juice offered a similar $1 oatmeal promotion in February following rival Starbucks Corp.’s announcement that its popular oatmeal would be available as part of a discounted breakfast pairing with a tall latte or brewed coffee.
“The holiday season is a time when everyone’s out shopping for the best deal — and we all know great deals feel good,” said James D. White, Jamba's president and chief executive. “That’s why Jamba Juice has decided to bring back Oatmeal for a Buck. With oatmeal available for just one dollar, our customers can have a high quality, feel good menu item that fits into their lifestyle and budget.”
The more recent Feel Good Campaign was launched in October and includes various “Feel Good Events,” or product discounts. The chain also plans to give away 30 million “Feel Good Bucks,” or vouchers worth anything from $1 toward a Jamba purchase to $10,000 in cash. The Feel Good campaign will run in participating stores through Jan. 4.
Operated and franchised by Emeryville, Calif.-based Jamba Inc., the Jamba Juice chain includes 742 locations.
