DESTIN, Fla. Commander’s Palace, New Orleans’ 127-year-old fine-dining landmark, is being cloned by the Brennan family for a lifestyle center in Florida.
The restaurant will be part of Destin’s HarborWalk Village, a collection of restaurants, water activities, nightlife spots and boutiques slated to open next spring. The Village surrounds Emerald Grande, a 281-unit resort described by Village owner Legendary Inc. as a “turn-of-the-century yacht club.” It opened in June. The project is part of the area’s harbor redevelopment program.
Ti Martin and Lally Brennan indicated that the new outpost would be faithful to the family’s restaurants in their hometown of New Orleans.
