McDonald's is working with suppliers to ensure ingredients don't run out for latest celebrity meal promo.

This time, McDonald's is ready for expected demand of next celebrity promo: The J Balvin Meal

Travis Scott meal supply shortages do not deter the quick-service chain from launching a new meal named after Colombian reggaeton singer starting today; Are more celebrity meals in the works?

Starting today, McDonald’s is replacing the popular The Travis Scott Meal with another celebrity combo: The J Balvin Meal.

And, this time the Chicago-based chain is working closely with its supply chain to ensure supplies do not run out like they did for the Travis Scott combo.

The Colombian reggaeton singer's go-to McDonald's meal is a Big Mac sandwich, medium fries and an Oreo McFlurry. The meal is available today through Nov. 1.

“From topping charts around the world to landing countless award nominations, J Balvin is a trailblazing international icon,” McDonald’s U.S. Chief Marketing Officer Morgan Flatley said in a statement. “He’s always been a regular at McDonald’s restaurants during his concert tours, and now we’re excited to bring his go-to order to our menus across the U.S.”

MCDNJUMK0060_Jbalvin_Social_PR_4x5_C_FR.jpgJ Balvin, who has sold 35 million records worldwide, said: “I am looking forward to sharing my signature order with my fans, along with more surprises that are to come with this partnership. ¡Lego!”

McDonald’s did not provide a price for the meal, saying the cost varies by location. The Oreo McFlurry is free for customers who order the meal via the McDonald’s app, the company said.

This is the second consecutive month where McDonald’s has announced the availability of a meal named after a celebrity. Last month, the brand’s $6 Travis Scott combo meal (a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, bacon and lettuce and served with medium fries, BBQ Sauce for dipping and a Sprite) was so popular, the company temporarily ran out of some ingredients. That promotion ended Sunday, Oct. 4.

McDonald’s worked closely with suppliers, distributors and franchisees to resupply impacted restaurants and plans to do the same to ensure restaurants meet the expected demand for the J Balvin meal.

The Travis Scott Meal marked the first time in nearly 30 years that McDonald’s had introduced a superstar’s name to its menu.  Previously, the chain sold the McJordan, named for Michael Jordan in 1992.

It’s unclear if McDonald’s plans to introduce more celebrity meals. When asked, the brand said it is focused on this promotion for the time being.
