Dutch Bros names former True Food Kitchen CEO Christine Barone president

Barone will begin her tenure in Q1 2023 and will report directly to CEO Joth Ricci

Growing drive-thru coffee chain Dutch Bros Inc. announced Tuesday the appointment of former True Foods Kitchen CEO Christine Barone as the company’s new president. Barone will begin her tenure in Q1 2023 under CEO Joth Ricci, leaving True Food Kitchen after six years as head of the healthy restaurant brand. Barone will be taking over the role of president from Ricci, who served as president and CEO of the brand for nearly four years.

"We’re pleased to welcome Christine to our team. She’s a well-respected industry leader known for her incredible strategic and operational skills," Ricci said in a statement. "As we look to the next phase of our brand story, we’re committed to bringing in best-in-class leadership to help us scale and grow.

Before her role at True Foods Kitchen, Barone was a senior vice president at Starbucks. In her new role at Dutch Bros, she will spearhead company operations as the company continues to grow, with a goal of owning 4,000 shops in the next 10 to 15 years.

"I’m inspired by the vision of the co-founder and the executive leadership and excited by Dutch Bros’ future,” Barone said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to helping the brand navigate its next phase of growth and continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of customers and employees. As a team, we will continue to build on Dutch Bros’ unique culture and celebrate the people and actions that make this company great."
