DALLAS David O. Corriveau, the Dave of Dave & Buster's, has stepped down as president and director of the 46-unit food-and-games chain.
ASecurities and Exchange Commission filing on Wednesday said Corriveau stepped down March 16 from the company he'd co-founded, Dave & Busters Inc. Corriveau had been on sabbatical since last fall. He took the sabbatical after the company was purchased by an affiliate of Wellspring Capital Management LLC, a private-equity firm in New York.
Co-founder and former chief executive James "Buster" Corley had stepped down as chief executive of the company last September. He was succeeded by Stephen M. King, a longtime T.G.I. Friday's veteran who had joined Dave & Buster's five months earlier as chief financial officer.
Corley and Corriveau founded the restaurant-entertainment chain in Dallas in 1982.
