Subway restaurants has hired industry veteran Donagh Herlihy as its new global chief digital and information officer, the company said Monday.

The Milford, Conn.-based quick-service sandwich brand said Herlihy is responsible for overseeing the company's worldwide technology teams for both franchisees and guests.
