The 190-unit Marco's Pizza has inked a deal to make PepsiCo Foodservice its exclusive beverage provider. Also this week: T. Marzetti Co., The Boston Beer Co., Procter & Gamble Professional, Oregon Restaurant Association, FoodCalc, Avendra, Cotti Foods Corp., Advance Telemetry, Quaker Steak & Lube, Reinhart Foodservice, Case Farms and Cleveland Menu.

TOLEDO, Ohio -- Marco's Pizza, the 190-unit pizza chain based here, said PepsiCo Foodservice will be its exclusive beverage provider. According to terms of the agreement, Marco's will offer Pepsi products in both fountain and bottle format. Beverages will include Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist and Mountain Dew. Marco's also will serve Aquafina, Gatorade and SOBE.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- T. Marzetti Co. has presented its Marzetti Masters Club Award to John Chenault. The company's premium sales award is given periodically to honor sales representatives with long, successful histories with the company. Chenault, who retired in April 2009, represented Marzetti for 26 years.

BOSTON -- The Boston Beer Co. was honored by the Boston Business Journal for creating "Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream." The program was designed to aid low- and moderate-income entrepreneurs in the food and beverage industry. The program features seminars, workshops, mentoring and speed coaching events. Boston Beer Co. also donated $250,000 to develop a fund that provides loans to small-business owners who otherwise would have difficulty securing financing.

CINCINNATI -- Procter & Gamble Professional said it has stepped up its H1N1 customer program in light of the heightened swine flu outbreak. In addition to increasing disinfectant production, the company is offering online sanitation programs for foodservice and hospitality customers. Customers can access a toolkit at www.pgpro.com that contains H1N1 information, links, products and procedures.

WILSONVILLE, Ore. -- The Oregon Restaurant Association has endorsed a service-provider partnership with FoodCalc, which provides an online tool that calculates the nutritional profile of recipes. Called MenuCalc, the program will be available to ORA members at a 10-percent discount.

ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Avendra, a procurement service company for the hospitality industry, has promoted Don Hecht to the post of vice president of procurement for food and beverage, Hecht succeeds Walt Sheffler, who was named senior vice president of strategic contracting. In his new post, Hecht, who previously was senior director, will be responsible for all aspects of the supply chain for food and beverage.

SAN DIEGO -- Cotti Foods Corp., a Taco Bell franchisee based in Rancho Santa Margari, Calif., is implementing Advanced Telemetry LLC's EcoView Commercial solution in all of its more than 50 locations in Southern California. After a nine-month test in 15 Taco Bell outlets, Cotti decided to deploy the energy management system, which enables users to view, manage and reduce energy consumption.

SHARON, Pa. -- Quaker Steak & Lube, a 37-unit casual-dining chain based here, named Reinhart Foodservice its Vendor of the Year. At the same time, the chain honored Case Farms as its Food Vendor of the Year and Cleveland Menu as its Nonfood Vendor of the Year. The three companies were recognized for helping the chain save money and resolve issues and concerns.
