ATLANTA Multi-brand franchisor Raving Brands is tweaking its fast-casual salads concept to focus on a new line of grilled toppings, including salmon and sirloin steak. The update includes renaming the brand, from Doc Green’s Gourmet Salads to Doc Green’s Salads & Grill.
Raving, based here, describes the new toppings as “fire-grilled,” a term that Burger King has promoted as a description of its charbroiled burgers and chicken items.
Ravings’ new grilled toppings include portabella mushrooms, chicken breast, sirloin and salmon. Patrons can also choose to have their salads topped with roasted turkey, strips of fried chicken and grilled salmon. The franchisor did not disclose how much of an up-charge would be levied for the new toppings.
Any of Doc Green’s salads is also available as a wrap, and the chain features 11 panini sandwiches.
Raving’s other brands include Moe’s Southwest Grill, Mama Fu’s, PJ’s Coffee, Planet Smoothie, Shane’s Rib Shack, Boneheads and Monkey Joe’s.
