NYC restaurants to offer delivery specials

NEW YORK Looking to tap into the success of Restaurant Week promotions, about 100 restaurants here will offer prix-fixe takeout meals later this month as part of Delivery Week.

During the event, which takes place Oct. 19-31, participating restaurants will offer special delivery menus featuring three-course meals priced at $12.09 for lunch and $20.09 for dinner. Each meal includes an appetizer, entree and dessert.

Customers can order their meals online at either www.deliveryweek.com or www.seamlessweb.com. SeamlessWeb, an online food-ordering service, is sponsoring Delivery Week.

“We’re very pleased to bring a new event to the New York dining calendar and have already been approached by a number of great partners interested in helping us make this an annual event,” said organizer Matt Johnson. "Delivery Week is going to be a great marketing vehicle for participating restaurants and will allow New York’s community of diners to enjoy some of the city’s leading restaurants at fantastic value.”
