NEW YORK —The seventh annual Snapple Big Apple Barbecue Block Party will feature 14 of the country’s top pitmasters preparing their “cue” in Madison Square Park here June 13-14.
The popular weekend-long event, which is organized by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, will feature a wide range of barbecue styles and such barbecue-centric restaurants as Blue Smoke of New York; Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q of Decatur, Ala.; The Pit of Raleigh, N.C.; 17th Street Bar & Grill of Murphysboro, Ill.; Ubon’s “Champion’s Choice” of Yazoo, Miss.; BlackJack BBQ of Charleston, S.C.; and Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint of Nashville. —The seventh annual Snapple Big Apple Barbecue Block Party will feature 14 of the country’s top pitmasters preparing their “cue” in Madison Square Park here June 13-14.
