TUSTIN Calif. The 115-unit Mimi's Café family restaurant chain has added 10 menu items made with seasonal ingredients.
The seasonal additions - which range in price from $7.99 to $14.99 - include Fresh Asparagus & Potato Cake Benedict; Fresh Asparagus Omelette; Boneless Idaho Trout; Greek Lemon Chicken Salad; Seared Scallops & Asparagus Ravioli; Tender Lamb Shank; Mahi-Mahi; Citrus Broiled Shrimp & Asparagus; Coffee Cake Muffin; and Lemon Cake & Mixed Berries a la Mode.
Designed by executive chef Adam Baird, the menu additions are scheduled to be available May 3 through July 11 as part of the chain's "Seasonal Features."
"My favorite seasonal vegetable is asparagus because it has the ability to transform a classic dish into a springtime delicacy," said Baird.
Mimi's, based here, is a holding of Columbus, Ohio-based Bob Evans Farms Inc., which also operates a namesake family restaurant chain.
