Leadership Network merges with CSP Information Group

GILBERT Ariz. Leadership Network Corp., the company here that sponsors the popular Restaurant Leadership Conference, has announced a merger with CSP Information Group of Oak Brook, Ill. Terms of the merger were not disclosed.

CSP, publisher of CSP Magazine and CSP Independent magazine, is a business-to-business communication company specializing in the convenience and retail petroleum industry. Leadership Network Corp. sponsors three major retail shows each year: the Restaurant Leadership Conference, Outlook Leadership and Convenience Retailing Conference.

"The combination of these two companies will present retailers with numerous opportunities, large and small, to interact with their peers and share ideas about running a business at all levels of their organizations," said Paul Reuter, president and editorial director of CSP.

David Jobe, president of LNC, said: "CSP and LNC have had similar goals, to educate retailers. And with our current relationship with Nation's Restaurant News and other partners, the future is certainly bright for our two organizations."

LNC's next Restaurant Leadership Conference, targeted largely at leaders in restaurant franchise organizations, is scheduled for March 26-28 in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The merger comes nine months after the death of LNC chairman and chief executive Thomas K. Crawford. He died July 2 from injuries sustained in a mountain-biking accident in Utah.
