Emeril Lagasse to open sports restaurant in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse said Thursday he would open a sports-theme restaurant called Lagasse's Stadium this fall at The Palazzo resort-casino here.

The project will feature custom sports viewing walls made up of nearly 100 high-definition television screens. Renovation of the 24,000-square-foot space, formerly occupied by The Sportsbook Bar & Grill, began in June.

Lagasse’s Stadium is the chef’s third project with The Palazzo and adjoining Venetian resort-casino. The other two are the Delmonico Steakhouse at The Venetian and Table 10 at The Palazzo.

Lagasse said in a statement: “I’m happy to team up again with our friends at The Palazzo to create the ultimate sports establishment. At Stadium, we’ll be serving serious food for serious fans.”

The menu will feature Lagasse’s play on game-day favorites, a few of his New Orleans-style dishes and some twists on American classics.

Rob Goldstein, president and chief operating officer of The Palazzo and The Venetian, said, “With its accessible location and unique design it will provide sports enthusiasts a great location to kick back, relax and enjoy great food and beverages while watching their favorite sporting games and highlights on the big screens.”

The location will feature lounge and stadium-style seating as well as luxury boxes for private events.

Lagasse has 11 restaurants across the country, the most recent being Emeril’s Chop House at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem in Pennsylvania.
