ANN ARBOR Mich. Domino’s Pizza is giving away two-piece orders of molten chocolate cake in celebration of surpassing the $1 billion threshold in online sales.
Customers who order online on Valentine's Day can enter the promotional code "HUG" to receive the free cake.
Domino’s said it took more than 160,000 orders on Super Bowl Sunday alone, with more than 1,000 customers per minute logging on right before kickoff.
“We are thrilled with how our innovative online ordering system has been doing since day one, and we owe that success to our customers,” Russell Weiner, Domino's chief marketing officer, said in a statement.
The 8,886-unit delivery giant also said it had added a new game-playing feature to its ordering system, with proceeds going to charity.
In partnership with Games That Give, money raised from customers playing online games on Domino’s ordering system will go to the United Way.
