Carisch reduces labor with business intelligence tool

News

WAYZATA Minn. Carisch Inc., a 73-unit Arby's franchisee based here, said it is leveraging the data from its back-office program using the business intelligence, or above-store reporting, system of XFormity Technologies Inc.

"XFormity has been able to consolidate all of the key operational data that is available on Restaurant Technology Inc. [back-office software]. Since we implemented XFormity eight weeks ago we have been able to reduce our labor hours by an average of 150 hours per day" companywide, said Fred Stauber, Carisch's president. "The key is every morning our operations team is able to view all labor hours for the prior day and take immediate action to ensure we are reacting to our forecasted, scheduled and actual allowed hours."

Based in Dallas, XFormity offers data polling services, business intelligence, balanced scorecards, benchmarking toolkits, data integration and best-practices management tools, its representatives said. XFormity's hosted suite of software, they said, results in a lower cost of entry for users and gives them access to key performance information, which helps detect and control loss of cash and product.
