Boston Market inks airline deal

GOLDEN Colo. Boston Market said Wednesday it has teamed up with American Airlines to offer select menu items aboard certain domestic and transcontinental flights beginning Friday, May 15.

The items, which include the Boston Market Carver, Boston Market Beef Brisket Grinder and the Boston Market Italian Grinder will be available on board for $10 each. Salads, such as the Chicken Caesar, Market Chopped and Italian Chopped, also will be available for $10 each.

At the outset, the meals are available during flights to and from Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and Hawaii, and additional routes will be added starting July 1.

“We are excited to partner with American Airlines and to bring Boston Market quality products to their customers,” Richard Davis, Boston Market's vice president, culinary innovation, said in a statement. “This selection of sandwiches and salads were developed specifically for American Airlines to offer travelers a satisfying, nutritious meal.”

Boston Market, the parent company to about 530 restaurants that focus on rotisserie chicken, has recently worked to increase menu choices, drop prices and increase advertising and promotions to spur sales. It is one of the many restaurant companies owned by private equity firm Sun Capital Partners.
