Beautiful Brands debuts Coney Beach concept

TULSA Okla. Beautiful Brands International, parent to the 109-unit Camille’s Sidewalk Café chain, opened its first Coney Beach restaurant here last week.

The gourmet burger and hot dog concept, which has a beach-inspired atmosphere, is located in the same city where BBI is headquartered. It covers 2,400 square feet and seats 100, including the patio. The menu features all-beef hot dogs, Black Angus hamburgers and polish sausages as well as bottled sodas, cold beer, ice cream floats and shakes.

The restaurant did more than $51,400 in sales its first week, said David Rutkauskas, chief executive and president of BBI. He added that Coney Beach had six-minute ticket times and 15-minute table turns. Coney Beach sold more than 650 hot dogs, 350 hamburgers and 100 milkshakes every day during the first week, he said.

“Coney Beach serves both lunch and dinner dayparts,” Rutkauskas said. “Sales are split, half for lunch and half during dinner.”

BBI is also developing a smoothie concept called FreshBerry Natural Frozen Yogurt.
