Taco Bell is adding a twist to breakfast, on Tuesday announcing the launch of a new Cinnamon Twists Cereal in partnership with Uber Eats. The miniature version of Taco Bell’s signature Cinnamon Twists sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar is now available in a cereal format for a limited time and in select markets via the Uber Eats app.
“We took your go-to crunchy, cinnamon-y twists and turned them into a cereal for the first time ever,” Uber said in a statement.
Here’s how to get the new product:
- From Jan. 16-18, Uber One members nationwide will be able to order a box with no purchase necessary.
- From Jan. 16-22, users in New York City, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami and Dallas, can get the mini-cereal box with free delivery on any Taco Bell breakfast order placed by 11 a.m. on Uber Eats, while supplies last.
- The first 500 Taco Bell Rewards Members can also get a box of Cinnamon Twist Cereal for free as part of Tuesday Drops on Jan. 23.
- From Jan. 16-22, customers can redeem $5 off and free Cinnamon Twists with any Uber Eats Taco Bell breakfast order of $15-plus at participating U.S. locations while supplies last.
Taco Bell’s innovation wheel has been spinning on overdrive of late, with new product launches and tests such as the grilled cheese burrito, iced coffee gelato, breakfast tots, and more. It’s also ramping up its retail presence after naming Kraft Heinz as its primary retail manufacturer in October. That presence includes an “SOS Kit” with products to help students make tacos and fajitas at home. Also, Mountain Dew Baja Blast — once sold exclusively at the chain — is now available in retail stores, and two meal kits, the Crunchwrap Supreme and Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla, are also now available.
The Cinnamon Twists Cereal launch continues this innovation but only through the exclusive Uber Eats and Rewards channels. Time will tell if we see the product make its way to shelves as well.
