CHICAGO McDonald’s Corp. recently recognized the top 1 percent of its general managers with the Ray Kroc Award, named after the corporate founder of the 13,700-unit fast-food chain based in Oak Brook, Ill. —
The performance-based awards went to 133 GMs who received a trophy, a pin and a trip to Chicago for an awards gala last month. McDonald’s owner-operators and regional staff nominated managers based on their operational excellence, commitment to people and ability to build business. —
