PHILADELPHIA Aramark Corp., the contract foodservice company, has teamed up with the American Dietetic Association, the nation's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, to promote public awareness of good nutrition and healthful dining practices through education.
The program, called Partners, is intended to provide a forum during upcoming ADA events and programs where industry professionals can address nutrition issues.
ADA president Judith Gilbride said the partnership would help the organizations "work together more closely to develop initiatives that meet our common goals and improve people's health and nutrition."
According to Andrew Kerin, Aramark's U.S. president of food, hospitality and facility services, "This partnership further strengthens our commitment to providing nutrition education and healthy dining programs for the consumers we serve."
