COLUMBUS Ohio Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, operator of 30 restaurants under nine brand names nationwide, announced today that it has opened a new Italian concept called Marcella's Ristorante, Pizzeria and Wine Bar. The prototype here has 120 seats and entrees ranging in price from $10 to $19 per person, the company said.
The menu features cured Italian meats and cheeses, Neapolitan pizzas cooked in a stone oven and several house antipastas. The bar features what the company describes as an authentic cicchetti or small plate menu, and wine is offered by the quartino, or one-third-bottle.
"The restaurant is going to be noisy, casual and fun," said company president and founder Cameron Mitchell. "People can come there for dinner, a snack, or to sample some of the 50 Italian wines available." Marcella's was designed to resemble a traditional Italian wine bar, with mismatched chairs and closely positioned tables.
