Foodservice operators now have access to a new line of proteins from the makers of APPLEGATE®, the leading natural and organic meat brand. The line was launched through Hormel Foods and includes turkey, ham, roast beef and pork. These proteins meet the ever-increasing demand for responsibly sourced foods that deliver on flavor, performance and true guest satisfaction, with nothing artificial and nothing to hide.

Every APPLEGATE protein is sourced from a network of over 2,000 livestock and poultry producers who take great pride in raising their animals to the APPLEGATE brand’s standards, ensuring high-quality, high-integrity meats. The animals are 100 percent vegetarian or grass-fed, raised without antibiotics and given more space to move and roam.
The new line of meats includes:

Fresh pork and other new proteins will soon join these initial seven offerings as the line expands over the coming months.

The launch of the new APPLEGATE line of proteins is the first within the partnership with Hormel Foodservice. Hormel Foods acquired Applegate in June of 2015 with the agreement that Applegate operate autonomously as a stand-alone subsidiary in the company’s Refrigerated Foods segment.
For 30 years, Applegate has been producing high-quality natural and organic hot dogs, bacon, sausages, deli meats, cheese and frozen products, distributed primarily through local grocery stores. All products are made without GMO ingredients and sourced from farms where animals are treated with care and respect.
