Sweetgreen launches Collections line of chef-curated menu items available via its app or online

New dishes are a shortcut for guests who don’t want to customize

Sweetgreen has launched seven lines of curated dishes available via its app or website.

Although like many fast-casual salad-focused chains, 110-unit Sweetgreen is known for its infinitely customizable menu items, the new Categories menu offers dozens of pre-set items priced between $9.75 and $12.95 and geared to appeal to people on specific diets — such as those in the “Protein Packed” and “Dairy Free” categories — or in the mood for specific flavors or textures — such as “Hail, Caesars” and “Crispy Rice.” Other categories are designed to simplify the search for popular combinations, such as “Crowd Pleasers” and “Super Seasonal,” and a seventh section was done with the cooperation of famous chefs.

The “Eat Like a Chef” category includes combinations the Culver City, Calif.-based chain developed in collaboration with Nancy Silverton, Danny Bowein, Kwame Onwuachi, Missy Robbins, Mei Lin, Liz Prueitt, Malcolm Livingston and Michael Solomonov.

Those chefs explain their choices here:
