Buffalo Wild Wings reinvests in QSR automations

Added functionality to existing platform will help brand increase efficiency for both front- and back-of-house operations.

Buffalo Wild Wings, a casual dining concept known for its wings flavored with 26 mouthwatering sauces and seasonings, has once again renewed its partnership with QSR Automations. BWW first partnered with the global leader in kitchen automation and restaurant technology in 2011, and is committed to leveraging technology to continually improve the guest experience in its restaurants. Areas of improvement in this renewed partnership include load balancing among stations during peak hours and custom dashboards at prep stations to keep track of both on- and off-premise orders. In the lobby, guests at BWW GO locations can now enjoy tracking their order on the Order Ready board.

“QSR Automations has been a trusted kitchen technology partner of ours for years, and it’s that trust that inspired us to make the investment in upgrading our systems,” said Chuck Eicher, VP of Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant Technology. “The team at QSR did a superb job of identifying opportunities to maximize efficiencies and delivering customized solutions to address existing pain points. They are true partners in our business and an integral part of our success.”

In addition to efficiencies achieved at the store level, Eicher said he is looking forward to the increased level of data and insights this upgraded platform will provide management at the district, regional, and national levels.

“The above-store reporting capabilities are extremely attractive to management because it allows them to log on anywhere, anytime, and get a very clear picture of the volume and cadence of back-of-house operations,” said Eicher. “Gaining insight into usage improves line of sight and increases efficiency to business. The work environment becomes calmer and more streamlined for our employees, and our guests have a smoother experience. It’s an all- around win.”

“Onboarding new clients is exciting, but it's even more rewarding when existing customers see the value in a partnership with QSR Automations and choose to continue the relationship through the next phase of business growth,” said Angela Leet, CEO of QSR Automations. “We’ve enjoyed customizing ConnectSmart® to meet the unique needs of BWW and look forward to watching them continue to flourish.”
