Business travel spend equaled a whopping $424 billion in 2016, with dining accounting for $77 billion of that total in the United States alone. Business dining is a big deal.
So how are restaurants targeting this large piece of pie? We surveyed more than 400 restaurants to learn just that.
A few key takeaways from our research include:
Busting misconceptions about the business diner
The business diner personified: what they really look like
Practical approaches to reaching business diners
Our survey, conducted in conjunction with NRN Restaurant and Food Group, included respondents from all restaurant types. We found that while many restaurateurs acknowledged the importance of business diners to their bottom lines, surprisingly few are actively targeting business diners and most have no idea where to begin. You’ll also get a sneak peek at insights into today’s business diner personas, based on recent business travel research conducted with the Global Business Travel Association.
