Tyson Foodservice Joins #TheGreatAmericanTakeout Movement

Pledges to donate up to $25,000 to the RERF.US 

Tyson Foodservice announced today it is joining forces with #TheGreatAmericanTakeout movement with a $25,000 commitment to the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund (RERF) and a matching program for any Tyson employees who donate personally to the organization.

“Our customers are at the heart of absolutely everything we do. It is essential that in these unprecedented times we seek creative ways to show them real, tangible support,” said Johnny Hughes, Senior Vice President, Tyson Foodservice Sales. “We’re both thankful and proud to make the financial commitment to stand by their sides and participate in The Great American Takeout movement.”

Throughout the day, Tyson Foodservice will donate $5 for every social media post tagged with #TheGreatAmericanTakeout, up to $25,000, to the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund (RERF.US), created by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation to support U.S. restaurant workers financially impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, and to provide aid to restaurant employees nationwide. Additionally, through May 1, Tyson Foods will match any personal donations made by Tyson team members to various industry relief efforts 3-to-1 up to $200,000.
