Trevor Bynum, president of Schwan’s Food Service, Inc., announced that Lance Luegers has joined the company in a newly created position as senior director of sales for corporate accounts, leading the non-commercial business.

In this role, Luegers leads a team focused on selling foods to foodservice management companies, group purchasing organizations and corporate distributors. The combination of these areas of focus under one leader better aligns the company to meet the needs of these large strategic customers.

Luegers brings more than 25 years of sales leadership experience in the foodservice industry to his new role, most recently serving as vice president of sales for Sky Rocket Global Consulting Group, focusing on client strategy and new business development. He spent more than 15 years with PepsiCo, holding the position of southeast region senior director of sales for a majority of his tenure. He began his career in sales at Quaker Oats, after receiving a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Luegers’ focus in his new position will be building and strengthening strategic partnerships and elevating customer relationships by providing customized industry insights, trend-forward innovation and culinary solutions.

“I’ve joined a company with great people, a great culture and great brands,” says Luegers, who anticipates additional growth within these business segments. “The quality of our foods and the category leadership that we hold in the industry is unique. We look forward to providing differentiated value to our partners.”
