Trending this week: Taco Bell’s long-awaited ‘redefined drive-thru’

In other news, Chipotle Mexican Grill has been adding more variety to its food offerings in recent years and now the chain is looking to bring some attention to the beverage side. On Thursday, Chipotle announced its first seasonal beverage limited-time offer: Watermelon Limeade, developed in partnership with Tractor Beverage Co., a company that supports organic farming practices.

Also, Panera Bread has opened the first Panera To Go in Chicago, offering a new restaurant format that’s digitally focused on pick-up and delivery orders, the company announced Friday. The St. Louis, Mo.-based division of JAB Holding Co. said the Panera To Go in Chicago is the first of three test locations scheduled to open this year. The company plans to open two additional Panera To Go cafes in California and Washington, D.C.
