Starbucks’ Oleato beverages are now available at all U.S. stores

Starbucks also debuted two new drinks in the Oleato lineup: the Oleato Golden Foam Iced Shaken Espresso with Toffeenut and Oleato Caffè Latte with Oatmilk

Starbucks announced Monday that starting Jan. 30, the coffee chain’s famous olive oil-infused Oleato beverage lineup will be available in all U.S. and Canadian stores. After an initial test run in Italy, the Oleato made its U.S. debut last March at multiple Starbucks Reserve Roasteries as an “alchemy of nature’s finest ingredients — Starbucks arabica coffee beans and Partanna cold pressed extra virgin olive oil” according to former CEO and Oleato creator Howard Schultz.

Initially, the Starbucks Oleato lineup was only available at select Reserve stores and Roasteries, but now will be available to a wider demographic. To celebrate the North American rollout of the beverage platform, Starbucks also announced two new Oleato beverages:

  • The Oleato Golden Foam Iced Shaken Espresso with Toffeenut - Starbucks blonde espresso combined with toffee nut and oat milk, and topped with Oleato golden foam (a vanilla sweet cream cold foam infused with Partanna olive oil)
  • The Oleato Caffè Latte made with Oat Milk – Starbucks blonde espresso topped with oat milk and infused with Partanna extra virgin olive oil. Available iced or hot.
  • Customers can also customize their beverages by adding Oleato golden foam to select coffee drinks

Since its debut last year, the Oleato has been a controversial addition to the Starbucks menu lineup. Although Starbucks claims the olive oil-infused invention of former CEO Howard Schultz creates a “velvety smooth, delicately sweet” coffee experience, the drink’s detractors claim it’s too oily, and can have the unfortunate side effect of causing digestive issues.

Starbucks Oleato is currently available at all U.S. Starbucks company-operated and licensed stores, as well as several markets around the world, including Canada, London, Paris, Osaka and Tokyo. The Starbucks Reserve and Roastery stores continue to serve exclusive and unique twists on the Oleato beverage.
