NRN video of the week: McDonald's promotes new Halloween giveaway game

Even the unluckiest of trick-or-treaters can win, according to the quick-service chain

Through Oct. 31, McDonald's is holding the Trick. Treat. Win! Game with instant prizes like free food, cash and Playstation Bundles, and daily sweepstakes prizes like McDonald's for life and vacation packages through its mobile app.

The video above features Kyle Craven, more famously known as the face of the "Bad Luck Brian" meme. With customers having a one-in-four chance to win when peeling game pieces off of McDonald's menu items, the ad shows that even unlucky people like Craven can claim a prize.

For game pieces that are not instant win prizes, guests can enter them into the quick-service operator's mobile app for entry tokens. The tokens can be used to enter the daily sweepstakes for a new prize every day.

McDonald's is based in Chicago with approximately 14,000 locations in the U.S.
