Hoshizaki America, Inc. announces the appointment of Chris Karssiens as interim President following the departure of James McDowell, who has left the company for personal reasons. We wish James well in his future endeavors and thank him for his leadership for the past few years.

Chris Karssiens has been a part of Hoshizaki America, Inc. in the role of senior vice president of sales and marketing for over a year and has over 40 years’ experience in the foodservice equipment industry. “Last year posed a significant challenge for our industry,” stated Karssiens, “which forced our leadership team to rethink both our internal and external strategies. A reorganized and refocused sales structure, the addition of key talent to our great team, and enhancements in our channels have set us up for strong growth this year and in the years to come. Hoshizaki America, like many companies, has demonstrated great resiliency. I am both honored and excited to lead this group of dedicated and talented people in whatever capacity our board of directors decides moving forward.”
