Nation’s Restaurant News hosted its second annual Power Lunch on May 20 at the W Hotel Chicago Lakeshore, bringing together more than 30 influential industry players for an intimate luncheon and lively discussion on foodservice trends.

The invitation-only event is designed as a casual meeting of like-minded entrepreneurial operators from all areas of the restaurant industry who are shaping the way consumers eat.

Attendees represented restaurant brands featured in the NRN Power List, Golden Chain Awards, Breakout Brands, Hot Concepts and Consumer Picks, including Arby’s, Wingstop, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, Tender Greens and The Little Beet.

“We have a simple, yet radical agenda for this lunch: to bring together restaurant innovators to share ideas and connect,” NRN editor-in-chief Jenna Telesca said as she welcomed attendees. “That’s what our industry is all about. Sitting together and talking over a plate of grub.”

“There are always going to be challenges in the restaurant industry,” she added. “But the folks in this room are about solutions.”

The Power Lunch was sponsored by Bevolution Group, Fourth and Soundtrack Your Brand.
