Starbucks was the first major chain to introduce cold foam, aerated and usually sweetened skim milk, in 2018 (although it had been serving it in its Reserve Roasteries since 2014). Now the chain is using different flavors of the coffee topping for holiday specials.

Other holiday specials are being offered at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Burgerville, and Friendly’s.

IHOP has teamed up with Warner Bros. Pictures to introduce items celebrating the release this month of Wonka staring Timothy Chalamet, the second remake of the 1971 classic, and Krispy Kreme has treats themed around the 20th anniversary of another Warner Bros. film, Elf.

In other news of art inspiring reality, 16 Handles is launching a frozen yogurt flavor inspired by Butter Beer.

Culver’s and Jamba both have frozen drinks inspired by hot chocolate

Noodles & Company is launching a new version of its Crispy dessert each day for a week starting on Wednesday, and new desserts are also to be had at Jimmy John’s and Pieology.

Nekter Juice Bar has a gingerbread smoothie, which at the very least is dessert-adjacent.

Beyond Juicery & Eatery has new dessert-like drinks and savory foods, as does Snooze A.M. Eatery, and Wayback Burgers has a new burger, tots, and shake.

Burger King has returning cheesy tots as well as burger melts, and it’s testing a breakfast sandwich in select markets.
