ATLANTA LongHorn Steakhouse parent Rare Hospitality International Inc. has appointed Cathy D. Hampton vice president, general counsel and secretary. Previously Hampton served as vice president and assistant general counsel for EarthLink Inc., the technology concern. She also was general counsel and secretary for EarthLink’s PeoplePC subsidiary.
Hampton has held prior corporate counsel positions at Turner Broadcasting Systems Inc. and the National Basketball Association.
In addition to the 279-unit LongHorn chain, Rare operates the 27-restaurant Capital Grille upscale steakhouse brand.
