Buffalo Wild Wings buys 7 Don Pablo’s

MINNEAPOLIS Buffalo Wild Wings has finalized its purchase of seven Don Pablo’s Mexican Restaurant locations from Avado Brands for approximately $1.2 million in cash for lease rights and other assets. The chicken wing specialist expects to rebrand, remodel and reopen the seven restaurants in the third quarter this year.

The locations are in Rockford, Ill.; Eagan, Minn.; Rochester, N.Y.; Cincinnati; Chesapeake, Va.; and Fort Worth and Mesquite, Texas.

They are among a total of 83 restaurants that Madison, Ga.-based Avado Brands has sold since it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last September. In addition to Don Pablo’s, Avado sold nine of its Hops Grillhouse and Brewery brewpubs in Florida to various buyers.

Buffalo Wild Wings, based here, is operator or franchisor of 495 restaurants in 37 states.
