The Washington, D.C.-based fast-casual chain with about 40 locations already announced multiple voting initiatives including Election Day closures across all locations. The company released a Spotify playlist for customers waiting in line to vote (this election has seen voting lines longer than years before) and has boxes for this week that feature the phrase “Vote _____ Out,” allowing people to fill in what they hope is gone after this election cycle.
New York City-based fast-casual chain Fresh&co has a new menu item exclusively for Election Day. The Poll Bowl, which was available starting Oct. 14 and through end-of-day Nov. 3, has crispy chicken, grape tomatoes, fiery pickled peppers, blue corn tortilla chips, blue cheese, kale, and romaine perfectly paired with peppercorn ranch and house-made hot sauce. It sells for $11.03.
The 18-unit chain also created a QR code sticker for each order that directs the customer to their nearest polling place.
New York City-based Chopt Creative Salad Co. and Dos Toros Taqueria, both part of the Founders Table Restaurant Group, are offering free meals to all poll workers with badges on Election Day.
Both brands have also partnered with Time to Vote, ensuring employees had all resources to make an informed voting decision, and are offering paid time off to vote on Nov. 3.
Chopt currently has 67 locations on the East coast and Dos Toros has 22 locations in New York, New Jersey and Illinois.
The Arlington, Va., restaurant is offering the “Dine Like a Presidential Candidate” special Monday and Tuesday.
The Filet-O-Catfish, a play on Trump’s favorite Filet-O-Fish from McDonald’s, is a crispy local catfish, pickled jalapeño tartar sauce and American cheese on a Potato Bun.
The Biden sandwich is called the Bobby 2.0, and has sliced roasted turkey, Cajun cornbread stuffing, tender greens, and cranberry vinaigrette. This spin on Capriotti's signature sandwich is beloved by Biden in his home state of Delaware.
The bakery is also selling a sugar cookie decorated in red, white, and blue icing with a reminder to vote on Nov. 3.
The 10-unit Carrollton, Texas-based restaurant is offering customers a free bowl of udon with a purchase of one on Election Day when customers show their “I Voted” sticker or proof of voting.
The Los Angeles donut shop decided to “celebrate democracy” with a series of VOTE donuts that spell out vote in a group of four donuts or circular red, white and blue donuts. They are available through Nov. 4. A dozen donuts sell for $15.
