Stacey Pool resigns as Noodles & Company’s chief marketing officer

After serving in that role for four years she is moving on to work in the auto aftermarket sector

Stacey Pool is leaving her position as chief marketing officer of Noodles &Company, the fast-casual chain said Friday.

In a filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission, the chain based in Broomfield, Colo., said Pool was accepting “another leadership opportunity within the auto aftermarket sector.”

Her resignation is effective May 17.

“Ms. Pool's decision to resign was not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter related to its operations, policies or practices,” Noodles said in the filing. “The Company has commenced a search for her replacement.”

Pool joined Noodles & Company as CMO in January of 2020 after serving as senior vice president for corporate marketing at mountain resort company Vail Resorts Inc.

Pool’s departure comes five months after the resignation of CEO Dave Boennighausen, who stepped down amid declining sales of the chain of around 470 restaurants. He has since been replaced by Drew Madsen who is working on updating Noodles & Company’s menu and leveraging its digital assets.
