Smalls Sliders, the quick-service restaurant, has introduced a signature color called “Smorange” that it developed with the Pantone Color Institute, the company said Thursday.
Atlanta-based Smalls Sliders, which is known for its modular layout model, crafted the orange color as “a vibrant tribute to the spirit of the innovative brand that's shaking up the big burger industry,” the company said.
“It embodies the energy, attitude, and character of Smalls Sliders,” the company noted.
The color began with an existing Pantone hue, which was then adjusted for density to achieve a brighter custom variation, the company noted.
"Crafting Smorange in partnership with the Pantone Color Institute was a pivotal moment in our journey as we navigate our trajectory of explosive growth," said Maria Rivera, Smalls Sliders CEO, in a statement.
"Smorange isn't just our color. It's our energy, attitude, and essence — bright, vibrant, and a little in your face,” she said.
Smalls Sliders opened its first signature Smorange-colored “can,” as it calls its modular shipping container model, in 2019. Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux creator Brandon Landry opened that first Smalls location in Baton Rouge, La.
The concept features a focused menu of cheeseburger sliders, waffle fries, shakes, and fountain drinks served from a modular container that covers about 800 square feet. National Football League quarterback Drew Brees invested early on alongside Atlanta-based private-equity firm 10 Point Capital. Both are investors in Walk-On’s as well.
Smalls Sliders has 13 units open in Louisiana and Mississippi.
The Pantone Color Institute, based in Carlstadt, N.J., provides standards, identity, and consulting for brands and manufacturers.
